The difference is pretty large. The PS3 not only does better graphically, but it shows MORE on screen which is far more important then just a few people on screen at hyper detail. The physics and more objects around add to realism rather then just a few hyper realistic items but for the most part is rather empty. You have to look at the total package, and not just the level of detail on one or two characters.
PS2 had more around 42-48 MBs of ram. What makes the emulation of PS2 insanely hard for the PS3 is the 4 mbs of embedded ram. That 4 mbs is insanely fast and is actually FASTER then the ram on the PS3 surprisingly. Another thing to consider is that newer consoles were given more ram to handle more textures without swapping out, while PS2 was made specifically to swap textures in and out at blazing speed rather then just store it all on memory.

People actually want blu rays and PS3s. Nobody wants 360s. Nobody really wanted them in the past. The 360 is what you got when you can't afford a PS3. Now the 360 is what you get because you can't find a PS3. Everyone that has a 360 really wants a PS3, but people who have PS3s don't really want a 360. Funny isn't it?
Can't have that. How is Microshaft going to charge for all those expensive perephrials if they include wifi or a hard drive? I know it'll be a slim 360, but it will also have UNIQUE accessories so you can't buy used 360 accessories and need NEW ones. MORE PROFIT for SAME STUFF.
That's how almost all 360 exclusives are. Mainly a 6-12 month wait. Why is it that 360 exclusives are only timed, while PS3 exclusives actually are exclusives? Oh yeah. Sony makes their own games............

Being well read doesn't make you numb to the joys of creation, but it does exponentially increase your tendency towards douche. That half the 360 exclusives are on PC while NONE of the PS3 exclusives are on PC.
There's good games for the wii. You just have to look for them. They're buried deep. JUST LIKE TREASURE!

I'm going by series sky. A lot of gamers tend to play both series I'm also going by unique series on top of that. Some people still play Gears 1 over 2 due to it not being more broken/preference for maps and so forth. Same with Halo.

So we're not tied to just one game.
Is it an update that everyone wants? Then it's going to be hours late. Is it an update that nobody cares for? It's on time or even early. THAT is how PSN works.
Will they stop using effeminate weirdos for their characters and put some normal actual men characters? You know? The type with some semblance of muscle tone and NOT under 16? I'd like Square to go back to the 4-6 era where they actually had adults as characters and important ones too.
You need to draw on your fanbase. You can do this easily, but you'll probably do something stupid like show the 360 logo. DO NOT do this. This is NOT your fanbase and they do NOT buy your games. Keep it more ambiguous or PS3 if you MUST show a console.
Chaos. The reason Jrpg sales are low is because they're on the 360. The Japanese port of Vesperia on PS3 ALONE outsold the WORLDWIDE sales of Vesperia on the 360.
